We had a busy assembly this morning. Ms.McCorry’s music group started things off with a medley of songs from Grease and Mama Mia! Well done to all and particular thanks must go to Ms.McCorry, Nicola and Teresa.
Ms Quinn’s Green Schools Committee had prepared a video for the Global Citizenship unit of the Green Schools Programme. We have pupils and parents in our school community from over twenty nationalities! It is hoped to explore this little further after Christmas. Look out for details.
Mr.O’Farrell talked to the children about the importance of staying in the playground once you come into it in the morning and also reminded everyone that children should not be arriving before 9.10am. Pupils were complimented on their manners around the school, something which staff have noticed there has been a big improvement in. He also told us about plans for a fire drill next week, a Christmas Carol Service and even a Christmas Jumper Day!
We finished assembly as usual by singing our assembly song ‘The best day of my life’.
