Well done to the pupils from Ms.Rock’s 5th and 6th class who represented the school at the Concern Primary Debating competition today. Our pupils opposed the motion:

“Tik Tok has done more harm than good to young people’s confidence”.

The opposition today was Scoil Naomh Molaise, Grange, who argued effectively in favour of the motion.

An additional challenge that both teams had to overcome was the fact that the debate was held over Zoom.

After an excellent debate, the adjudicators announced that Scoil Mhuire gan Smál were the winners!

A big thank you to Scoil Naomh Molaise for their virtual hosting of the debate and also to our two adjudicators.
