Ms.O’Gara’s class has been studying the Famine in recent weeks. Today they dressed up in period costume and presented their work to the rest of the school. We were treated to readings from ‘Under the Hawthorn Tree’ , clay models of a typical village of the time, replica famine ships, historical facts and more. Well done to all involved. Active learning at its best!
